This course is for you!
Hi! After 30 years of teaching art, I am thrilled to offer you this online course. Many art -thirsty people have reached out to me who live in different countries and states and can’t attend my in-person workshops.
I have developed a very exciting process where you will learn what I have discovered by playing, experimenting, and diving into my creative process. I have been teaching mixed media art workshops in my ICB studio in Sausalito Ca. for 6 years, and last year during an art residency in Italy, I had a giant AHA moment and discovered the process I will share with you.
My students are thrilled that they can learn this beautiful way to create layers of transparent papers and collage them into stunning works of art. I have created step-by-step modules to follow where I share everything I have discovered, developed and put together for you to make original art that will comes from YOU!

TESTIMONIALS
Karen Meadows is an outstanding teacher. I’ve taken her mixed media class three times because she has so much to offer. Karen gives clear instructions on how to use the myriad materials she makes available. Using her own work as examples somehow inspires you to go your own way. During the time spent making art, she’ll give you things to think about with your work, pauses to have you look at where you’re heading and emanates a happy and encouraging spirit that keeps you going. I was able to become freer in making art, came away with pieces I like, and had a lot of fun. I think my current paintings are a much better reflection of who I am as an artist. I am enjoying making art as never before.
In her workshops, Karen seamlessly combines her expertise as both a seasoned educator and a talented artist. Each session is an immersive blend of fun and learning, packed with practical tips and surprising insights that have enhanced my own artistic practice. With her wealth of knowledge and innate creativity, these workshops are not just classes; they're opportunities for growth and inspiration that resonate long after the workshop ends.
As a long time artist and seeker, I have taken many art classes, both online and in person, and Karen’s workshop rises above the rest with ease. Her teaching style is gentle and nurturing, and you will feel safe and encouraged while you explore your artistic voice. Her vast knowledge and years of teaching experience shine through aevery turn. I love that I walked away with two beautiful, framed pieces after only a one day workshop! That is just how magical and perfect her flow is! I cannot recommend her classes enough. I will definitely go back time and time again.
